The Social Media Manager for Boardroom is responsible for the development, maintenance, and community management of Boardroom’s social media accounts. The role requires both strategic planning and creative execution and serves as a critical touchpoint to the Boardroom audience. The role reports to the Director of Social Media, Boardroom.

Location: New York preferred

Term: Full-time, Tuesday - Sunday (**weekend coverage is required/essential for this position)

* Co-manage Boardroom social media accounts, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, with a special focus on weekend coverage (for example, creating 2-3 Twitter threads and Instagram-geared graphics per weekend surrounding marquee matchups across in-season sports leagues that highlight sports business-focused content) * Seek breaking stories for social posts, liaising closely with Boardroom editorial team * Drive community management across Boardroom social media platforms, including direct engagement with fans as well as joining relevant conversations with other brands, personalities, and platforms on social media * Work closely with Director of Social Media and Head of Audience Development on growth and engagement tactics, including contesting, partnership marketing, etc. * Staying up-to-date on sports business news and trends and translating relevant news into creative social content * Regular reporting to management on social media KPIs, wins, challenges, progress, etc

Qualifications: * 1-3 years of experience using Twitter and Instagram; up-to-date on platform best practices * Must be an avid sports fan; with a particular interest in NFL and College Football * Must be very familiar with the Boardroom brand and overall voice * Must have a strong interest in the Sports Business industry * Must have experience live-tweeting and/or breaking news in a timely manner * Experience using Canva a plus
