UX Designer | Sound Team (d/f/m)

Ableton is looking for a UX Designer to join our Sound Team and help develop the next generation of our sound experiences. You’ll work to understand problems and opportunities for music makers, discover how best to respond to them, and work with the team to deliver them.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure your team’s work is informed and guided by an understanding of users’ needs, contexts, and behaviors

  • Understand, communicate, and refine the key points that direct or constrain an experience

  • Work with your team to create a plan with appropriate research and design steps

  • Lead design activities to develop experiences tailored to a project’s goals and constraints, or challenge them, while making the work visible and explicit

  • Collaborate with Interface Designers to create elegant and engaging user experiences

Your profile

  • You are comfortable working with subject matter experts employing research-based UX methods

  • You have a good knowledge of research and design methods and can use them to adapt, plan and conduct the right activities for different goals and constraints, along with experience in interviews and usability studies

  • You are familiar with software design practices, can collaborate with UI designers to support them in delivering production interfaces and facilitate discussions around design decisions

  • You are comfortable working with engineers to find ways to build great features within challenging constraints

  • You understand how hypotheses can be used to direct design and explore different options around a given problem or opportunity

  • You have the organizational skills to support the delivery of a feature with your team and manage your own work based on priority and risk

  • You are fluent in English
